Our Mission
Our mission is to promote self-discovery, empowerment, and healing through the powers of storytelling, reflective art, and creative writing, to promote wellness, reflection, collaboration, and change
Our Vision
Our vision is to promote storytelling, awaken artists and creative writers who acknowledge their history and take stake in shaping their future. Reality will reveal itself through reflection, art, and the writing process, for each person according to the individual's own experience, interpretation, and understanding, using non-traditional activities that engage our participants in self-discovery.
Our Founder
Our Mommies Hands, founded by Nashona Andrade Seals, makes tangible the narratives of men, women, students, and children, whose hands reveal raw, emotionally penetrating truths about the various ways in which their hands, their road-maps to self-discovery and awareness, help to shed light onto who they are as individuals. An unyielding desire to understand the complexity of their connection to the human condition and experience, and how their hands become symbols of freedom, refuge, and guidance, is beautifully illustrated on a canvas that unites pain with forgiveness, insecurity with self -love, and victimization with empowerment. Nashona's passion for creating a rich history and a vision of visibility is humbly reflected through her workshops, and community work.
